CHAPTER VI: THE CONNECTION

After knowing I had cancer, I started to meditate. The feeling of being present grew and led me to feel connected with everything around me. I could stop my wondering mind, enjoy the feeling of the sun on my skin, the fresh air entering my broken lungs.mThere were no barriers between me and the outside world. I could even feel the birds flying. The bird was the extension of my sensitivity and so was the rest of the world. Feeling connected is to be aware of yourself in the world, in the universe. And to feel the deep connection you have with it. It is to feel one with each living being. When you are able to feel that connection, you can see happiness in many things around you.
